OPG Stjepan Car is located in the town of Vrbovec, on 3000 m2 there is an orchard with various varieties: apple, pear, apricot, plum, cherry. Due to the late spring frosts, Mr. Car decided on the FPS frost protection system from Qtech design from Zagreb. The system is currently under construction and initial testing is planned for the fall of 2020. The system will be functional and ready to protect orchards from the early spring frosts of 2021.

Commissioning in autumn 2020

The works on the installation of the rainwater system were performed according to the project documentation. The system has been tested and optimized to work with 3 water supply routes. It is supplied with:

• Well 1 - capacity 15 m3 - operating pressure 3.2 - 4.5 bar 
• Well 2 - capacity 20 m3 - operating pressure 4.0 bar 
• City water supply - unlimited capacity - operating pressure 3.0 bar

The system is controlled with SOLEM modules in such a way that the Well 1 | Well 2 | City water supply. Optimal operation is monitored via the Weather Station Cherry that sends system operating pressure data every 3 minutes.
