Polje: the operating system for OPG Ivan Jović

A farm is not a spreadsheet. When water, frost, climate, cameras and the cash book live in different apps, the operator spends the night copying — and the valve stays shut. Polje is the operating system for OPG Ivan Jović: one console, a public API, MCP for agents, Grok for briefing.

Why I built Polje

Qtech sells systems for production — not slide decks. FPS protects orchards from frost; Dewline schedules irrigation; Plussys joins drawing and CNC. Polje is a demo farm and a real OPG in one: on it I build and show how AI and the edge work on the land, not in a presentation.

Farm slug ivan-jovic, timezone Europe/Zagreb. Seat: Majdekova ulica 81, Ivanić-Grad (Donji Šarampov). MIBPG 286946. Climate analog: Lonjsko polje / Čigoč (Open-Meteo) until local sensors are in place — not private GPS.

On Land: 2 locations, 2.5294 ha drawn, 4 of 7 fields. Plots include Garden, Hay field, House yard, Pasture, Jezero (pond ~0.0448 ha); UI/API measures also include ~0.597 ha and ~2.1927 ha on the second location. Public plantings: Desiree potato, Oxheart tomato, meadow-mix hay, Burlat cherry, pasture grass.

How it works

  1. Land (/land) — plot and planting ledger; map, stages, growth photos.
  2. Water (/water) — drip (Dewline) and accumulation; rain lockout blocks drip, not an armed frost line.
  3. Frost (/frost) — FPS LoRa console: local program, ARM, ice 0–2 °C; public state IDLE until sensors and program enter the night; Cloudflare is not the safety layer.
  4. Climate + energy (/klima) — old-house setpoints, battery, solar; heat lockout below threshold.
  5. Cameras (/eyes) — public analog streams (Lonjsko polje); yard NVR when it arrives.
  6. Automations (/hands) — job queue; high-risk rules only with confirm + reason.
  7. Ledger (/ledger) — public cash flow in EUR cents; not a tax filing.
  8. Plan / calendar — phases, procurement, ICS; Grok chat + daily briefing; MCP card at /.well-known/mcp/server-card.json.

What the client / visitor gets

  • Public GET APIs (overview, plots, reads) — production on Cloudflare Workers
  • Live cameras and the cash book as public reads (no bank tokens)
  • MCP server for agents (Bearer AGENT_TOKEN for tools; local failsafe first)
  • Dangerous actuators (valves, heat) need confirm + audit — without confirm, proposal only
  • Console modules: Overview, Polje, Land, Water, Frost, Climate, Eyes, Hands, Ledger, Plan, Mail, Docs, Admin

Technology

Stack: Cloudflare Workers, public GET endpoints, edge on the farm as muscle and failsafe. Software proposes; a human confirms water and metal. API docs: docs.opg-ivanjovic.hr/api.
